It appears the company wants to consolidate its grip across the budget tablet market

Although not a big name on the tablet market, Lenovo can’t be accused of not trying. The company has quietly rolled out a bunch of new Android hybrid tablets from its Yoga line in shops across Europe.

What’s odd about the new duo is that they don’t really resemble what you’d call the classic hybrid between a tablet and a laptop. First off there’s no detachable keyboard. Instead users will get some sort of built-in rotating stand that can be arranged in diverse angles. The system is curious, but it will surely come in handy when trying to prop the device.

MobileGeeks.de reports the first model is the Lenovo IdeaPad B6000-F and comes sporting an 8-inch WXGA display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The B8000-F models feature a larger 10-inch display with the same resolution.

Both slates embed 1.2 GHz MediaTek MT8125 quad-core processors bundled with 1GB or RAM. They provide 16GB of internal memory and run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

At the moment, the two models seem to be available in stores across Germany and Italy. Get the B6000-F for a price starting at $290 / €214, while its larger brother can be purchased for $380 / €280 and up. There’s no information whether or not the slates will come to the US.
