For the time being, we only know that the tab will have an Intel processor inside

When you think about Android tablets coming from Lenovo, you naturally conjure up the Yoga bunch, with its 8-inch and 10-inch variations and innovative hinge design.

But it appears that the company is looking to extend its Android-based portfolio. The guys over at Tablet-News have spotted a new mysterious tablet which showed up online on the website of a Chinese publication.

As you can very well see from the image above, the tablet will take advantage of an Intel processor and have dual-front facing speakers. The other specifications are a mystery and I can’t even tell you for sure whether we’re dealing with a 7-inch or an 8-inch model, but the slate seems to be of a smaller variety.

A while ago, it was said that Lenovo would abandon its small tablet business in the US. The company stated that some slate models would not be re-stocked once they earn sold-out status.

But a short while after the information became available, Lenovo itself came out and claimed they would continue to offer small tablets in the US. As a matter of fact, they said they are prepping an 8-incher that is scheduled to arrive in time for the busy holiday season.

Lenovo hasn't said whether this will be an Android or Windows 8.1 one, and maybe that’s what we’re looking at here.
