Lenovo has signaled interest for the wearable market multiple times

The wearable industry is the fastest growing field in technology today and the all biggest names in tech are well aware of that.

Moreover, it appears another important player is getting ready to make an entry soon. Lenovo’s Mobile Division president, Liu Jun spoke to Mobile Geeks and confirmed some of the plans the company has for the future, including jumping in the wearable bandwagon like self-respecting tech manufacturer these days.

This is not exactly a shock, since back at CES 2014 Lenovo North America president, Jay Parker said the company has clear plans to do so. But other details aren't currently available.

For example, will Lenovo start building a smartwatch or will it take up the production of fitness-centric devices? Most importantly, will Lenovo go down the same road as Motorola and offer an Android Wear device? This seems to be an accurate scenario.

Nevertheless, Google hasn't mentioned Lenovo when it made its hardware partner list available, so the company might as well take the road paved by the likes of Sony and Samsung, which are making their own OS platforms for their smartwatch products.

To conclude, I hope that if Lenovo ends taking up smartwatches, it will provide us with something as beautiful as the Motorola Moto 360.
