Chinese mobile phone maker Lenovo has announced the upcoming availability of a new flagship Android-based device in Malaysia, in the form of Lenovo Vibe Z.

Made official earlier this year, the smartphone has been already launched in various markets around the world, including India, where it landed only several days ago.

Vibe Z is one of the most appealing smartphones that Lenovo has brought to the market until now and is expected to attract a lot of users to its side, thus helping the company gain some more market share.

The mobile phone arrives on the market with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.

Lenovo also brought the smartphone to the market with a 2.3GHz quad-core processor packed inside, as well as with Adreno 330 graphics. Moreover, it sports 2GB of RAM, which should ensure increased performance capabilities.

At the same time, the handset was unveiled with 16GB of internal memory, though it does not offer a microSD memory card slot for storage expansion, it seems.

On the back, the mobile phone features a 13-megapixel camera, which sports LED flash and autofocus capabilities, and which should be able to record videos in full HD resolution. Lenovo also included a 5-megapixel camera on the front of the device, to provide users with video-calling capabilities.

Another appealing capability of the new device is its included support for 4G LTE networks, and it seems that users in Malaysia will also be able to take advantage of it.

The smartphone will also arrive on shelves in the country with the usual set of connectivity capabilities packed inside, as well as with Lenovo’s Smart UI loaded on top (which is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, thus offering all the benefits of this OS version).

As GSMInsider notes, Lenovo Vibe Z is set to arrive on shelves in Malaysia as soon as March 15, when wireless carrier Celcom adds it to its lineup, exclusively.

The phone will be available only through this carrier until April 15, on the mPro and mPro Plus plans, and will feature a price tag of only 688 MYR ($210/€151).

Starting April 15, however, Lenovo Vibe Z will be put up for sale around the country SIM-free as well, with a price tag of 1,799 MYR ($549/€395) attached to it. Most probably, it will be released through various retailers there.

Soon, Lenovo’s new flagship handset should arrive in other markets out there as well, as the company is expanding its reach around the world.
