Lenovo Vibe X Officially Introduced in India for Rs 25,999

The smartphone will be available for purchase later this week

Chinese company Lenovo has just announced that its Vibe X high-end smartphone will soon go on sale in India for Rs 25,999 ($420 / €305) off contract.

AndroidOS reports that Android fans in India should expect to be able to grab the Vibe X by the end of the week from major retailers across the country.

Lenovo Vibe X was officially unveiled back in September and made its debut on the market last month in China. At the time of the release, Lenovo confirmed that the smartphone would be available for purchase in additional countries, including India and Russia.

True to its promise, Lenovo introduced the Vibe X in India this week, but Chinese company’s fans should expect the handset maker to release the Vibe Z as well.

Until then though, Android enthusiasts in India can give Vibe X a try, as the smartphone comes packed with pretty neat features for the price.

First of all, Lenovo Vibe X ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, which is not as bad as it might seem given the fact thatthe Chinese company offers major upgrades for its high-end smartphones from time to time.

Hardware-wise, the Vibe X comes equipped with a quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which is complemented by a PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The phone packs 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). On the back, the Vibe X sports an enhanced 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front, there’s a secondary 5-megapixel camera.

Sadly, Lenovo Vibe X does not offer dual-SIM support, so keep that in mind before picking this one up. Other highlights of the phone include: HSDPA (21Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, as well as non-removable 2000 mAh Li-Polymer battery.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone boasts a more than decent 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
