Unveiled back in March at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 trade fair, Lenovo Vibe Shot will go on sale later this month.

Although Lenovo announced the camera-centric phone would go on sale sometime in June, it looks like the Chinese company plans to launch the Vibe Shot a little bit earlier.

The Vibe Shot has already been listed on Lenovo's official website with a release date attached to it. It looks like that smartphone will be available for purchase for $290 outright, but only in China.

The global rollout of the device is expected to kick off in June, just as Lenovo announced back in February. Unfortunately, there's no telling when exactly the Vibe Shot will arrive in certain countries since these dates will be announced locally and closer to release.

The Vibe Shot is a high-end smartphone aimed at those who absolutely need to take state-of-the-art selfies. The 8-megapixel camera in the front can capture full HD (1080p) video, but it's also perfect for video calls and selfies.

On the other hand, the 16-megapixel photo snapper on the back feature OIS (optical image stabilization), triple-LED (dual-tone) flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording.

Octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM

Lenovo Vibe Shot is powered by a more than decent 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

On top of that, the smartphone also packs microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). The 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

It's also worth mentioning that the Vibe Shot is powered by a non-removable 2,900 mAh battery and offers dual-SIM support, LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with AGPS and microUSB 2.0.

Lenovo has already confirmed that its camera phone will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
