Lenovo has a new handset in the pipeline

In a week or so Lenovo is coming to Barcelona like every self-respecting tech giant and will unveil the successor of the Vibe Z2 Pro, which is expected to bundle a Snapdragon 810 processor on the inside.

Well, it appears Lenovo is also prepping a camera-centric phone that has popped up online a few days before MWC 2015 opens its gates and welcomes the world (as seen at GSM Arena).

Lenovo knows you love to document every aspect of life

The phone is called Lenovo Vibe Shot, and as the name aptly reveals, it has a focus on photography. Lenovo knows people love taking pictures with their trusty handset so it has bundled the Vibe Shot with a sensible 16MP camera with BSI sensor.

On top of that, the device houses a triple tone LED which should make up for the lack of proper lighting, if necessary. The handset also has optical image stabilization (OIS) so snapping images in bleaker environments shouldn’t be a problem. The Vibe Shot is also outfitted with a dedicated shutter release button.

As for internal specifications, the handset arrives with a 5-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) and draws its juice from a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset fitted with a consistent 3GB of RAM.

As for internal storage, most likely the handset will offer 32GB of it, which is expandable to 128GB via microSD card.

As it’s pretty visible in the leaked images, the Lenovo Vibe Shot looks pretty premium and according to the source, it will be made available with a brushed metal frame and will enjoy other metal accents as well.

The handset will ship with Android 5.0 out of the box. Sadly, we can’t tell you anything about pricing, for the time being. Hopefully, we’ll find out more at MWC 2015.

The Lenovo Vibe Z3 will bring Snapdragon 810 power

If that’s not the case, we’ll be content with mulling over the Lenovo Vibe Z3 which will supposedly arrive with a 5.5-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, a Snapdragon 810 and 4GB of RAM.

The device is said to don a 16MP snapper on the back with OIS and Tri-LED flash. Keep an eye out for it in a week or so.
