The kind of success Lenovo continues to experience is almost absurd

You'd think that a year of constant financial upsurge would be enough for Lenovo, but the Chinese company is well into its second (or is it third) year of record profits and/or revenues.

Case in point: during the second quarter of the company's 2013/2014 fiscal year (the third quarter of 2013), Lenovo made $283 million / €211 million operating profit.

Meanwhile, revenue was of $9,774 billion / €7,300 billion.

In the end, the net profit ended up at $220 million / €164 million.

I don't really have to say that those are really, really huge figures.

Notebooks brought in 51.1% of all revenues, followed by desktops with 27.7% and everything else (tablets, smartphones, digital home devices) with 15.1%. Well, everything else except servers, which managed to keep 6.1% all to themselves.

On a related note, Lenovo's phone and tablet sales went up 78% and 421% on-year, respectively, to 12.3 and 2 million.
