Lenovo has recently announced the second generation Miix tablets which come in 10-inch and 11-inch flavors.

Now the company has made the 10-incher available for purchase on its website and those interested will be able to grab one for a hefty $699 / €511(ships with 128GB).

Originally the tablet was expected to cost only $499 / €365 but Lenovo will certainly put some cheaper version out soon, probably with 32GB and 64GB of internal memory.

Miix 2 10 draws power from an Atom Z3740 processor (from the Bay Trail family) paired with 2GB of RAM. Other specifications include a 2MP front-facing camera, micro USB, microSD card slot and stereo JBL speakers.

The tablet is 0.31 inches / 7.8 mm thick and weighs 1.3 pounds / 589 g, but when the keyboard is added, it will amount to 2.3 pounds / 1.04 kg. Miix 2 10 runs Windows 8 and bundles Microsoft Office 2013 Home & Student out of the box.

Lenovo will also make available a keyboard to go with the tablet, so it can give the products a multi-mode edge. The keyboard will attach to the main tablet body via magnets, so it will be quite easy to snap them together.
