Tablets are pretty much a slice of IT life now, so it stand to reason that the media will mention one of them at least once during a day, though in this case Lenovo introduced three of them.

The Android 4.0 operating system otherwise known as Ice Cream Sandwich, has been on the lips of many people lately.

However, it hasn't actually been completed or added to any tablet, meaning that honeycomb is still the most advanced form of the mobile software.

As it happens, this very operating system was used by Lenovo in its making of the IdeaPad K1 and ThinkPad Tab.

Lenovo also went further back, building the IdeaPad A1, which features Gingerbread (Android 2.3).

Apparently, the IdeaPad K1 and ThinkPad Tab have 10.1-inch displays and will either settle for WiFi or integrate 3G as well.

The former has 32 GB of storage, while the latter has 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB versions, plus enterprise features like Ciso VPN and encrypted SD card support.

Both slates have micro HDMI, optional WCDMA, microSD card slots, WiFi, 1 GB RAM, a screen resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and two webcams (5 MP and 2 MP, back and front).

The third tablet, the IdeaPad A1, has a display of 7 inches and makes do with 16 GB of storage.

Lenovo gave this third, budget model 512 MB of RAM (random access memory), a 3 MP webcam on the back, WiFi, a single-core Cortex A8 processor and a much smaller price (14,990 INR / $304.05 223.70 Euro).

Speaking of prices, the 32 GB IdeaPad K1 sells for 29,500 INR ($598.37 / 440.24 Euro), or 33,990 INR ($687.62 / 505.90 Euro) when 3G is selected as well.

As for the 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB enterprise ThinkPad Tabs, they go for 29.500 INR ($598.37 / 440.24 Euro), 41,900 INR ($849.89 / 625.29 Euro) and 46,900 INR ($951.31 / 699.91 Euro), respectively.
