Lenovo's new desktop PC is an environmentally friendly desk side companion for small and medium businesses. The ThinkCentre A63 leverages the performance of Sempron, Athlon II and Phenom II processors from Advanced Micro Devices and provides high productivity, accessibility and communication capabilities, as well as advanced performance and security. Lenovo is offering this new system along with flexible warranty options and a ThinkPlus Priority Support enhanced service plan.

“We know that PCs are the technology backbone for SMBs to run their businesses,” Dilip Bhatia, executive director, ThinkCentre Marketing, Lenovo, said. “The new ThinkCentre A63 desktop delivers on the three ‘P’s’ that businesses need in today’s fast-paced, cost-conscious environment: power, peace of mind and price.”

The A63 uses the aforementioned 45nm AMD chips to enable energy efficient multitasking while high-end DirectX 10 graphics provide 3D applications support for vertical industries such as engineering, graphic design and film production. An optional high-resolution webcam and Skype may enable VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and the system's support for dual independent displays can expand the working area, making it suited for market analysts and entry engineers.

High usability is also enabled by DDR3 memory at 1333MHz and up to 500GB of storage. Furthermore, users can make sure that their sensitive business data stays with them via the Lenovo Hard Disk Drive Retention tool.

Besides just optimized hardware and special software tools, the ThinkCentre A63 has an extra feature, which may enable more efficient use of time. Lenovo's Enhanced Experience for Windows 7 improves boot times by 57% and enables shut down times of five seconds.

Lenovo is also offering flexible warranty options and a ThinkPlus Priority Support enhanced service plan. This program helps reduce the amount of time spent by IT staff on PC problem troubleshooting through 24x7 priority call routing to advanced technical support. Not only that, but Windows 7 ThinkCentre PCs can take advantage of the PC health, security and support tools within the ThinkVantage Toolbox and other ThinkVantage technologies such as Rescue and Recovery and Power Manager.

The ThinkCentre A63 desktop PC for small and medium businesses will be sold through www.lenovo.com and the company's business partners beginning in mid-January. The starting price is of $329.
