Lenovo has already launched a bunch of IdeaPad mobile computers, but the company is far from done, having also prepared the IdeaPad G collection, one that has a few more members that the others.

Since the 2011 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is just around the corner, it is not a surprise to find IT players releasing new products left and right.

In fact, with the unleashing of AMD's and Intel's Fusion and Sandy Bridge processors, respectively, it would have been an anomaly if PC makers didn't say anything.

Lenovo, of course, made some announcements of its own, delivering multiple types of systems, mobile and otherwise.

For instance, the IdeaPad Y, Z and V series of laptops, as well as some all-in-one systems, have already been detailed.

When it introduced the other IdeaPads, the company also offered information on the IdeaPad G series.

This line is composed of several mainstream notebooks that are supposed to be in the affordable price range for the bulk of the consumer market.

That said, there are five notebooks, the 14-inch G470, G475, 15-inch G570, G575 and 17-inch G770.

With a new Intel Core i7 at the heart, they have up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory and feature not NVIDIA graphics, but AMD GPUs.

To be more specific, the machines come with the Radeon HD 6370M 1 GB discrete graphics card, or HD 6550M in the case of the G770.

Lenovo also implemented a hard disk drive of 750 GB and a DVD or Blu-ray drive, plus the full range of connectivity and I/O options.

In other words, the IdeaPad G boast a 2 megapixel webcam each, a 5-in-1 card reader, 8022.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a multi-gesture touchpad and the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. Unfortunately, they have not been given a price or release date.
