The past weeks, Lenovo has been quite effective in expanding its portfolio of personal computers, both desktops and laptops, as is evident from the launches of the IdeaCentre A310 all-in-one and the IdeaPad U460 ultraportable, among other things. The company doesn't seem done with this field just yet though, so it decided to start selling another laptop that is, supposedly, a 'little of everything', a jack of all trades, as it were. It bears the name of IdeaPad Z360.

The company went, again, for the Intel Calpella platform, specifically the Core i3-350M central processing unit that has a clock speed of 2.26 GHz. This chip is backed up by a full 3GB of RAM (random access memory) and a hard disk drive with a storage capacity of 500GB. The Intel integrated graphics are tasked with handling whatever multimedia applications consumers may indulge in, although a stronger, discrete solution is also available as options. The discrete GPU is the NVIDIA GeForce 310M and has 512MB of memory.

IdeaPad Z360 has a LED-backlit HD Glare screen with a size of 13 inches and its panel's native resolution is of 1366 x 768 pixels. Other specifications include wireless connectivity via WiFi, a DVD writer, Bluetooth 2.1, and a 6-cell lithium ion battery. Finally, in case more horsepower is needed, the Core i3-350M chip can be swapped for the stronger Core i5-450, whose frequency is of 2.40GHz, and 4GB of RAM can be used instead of just 3.

Lenovo's latest laptop is pre-loaded with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system and has already been added to the company's official website. Consumers interested in details, or actually purchasing one, may visit the official product page located here. The starting price tag is of $849 for the Core i3-350M versions, whereas the Core i5-450M model has a tag of $1,049. Their maker offers each of them with a one-year warranty.
