Lenovo is present at the Florida Education Technology Conference where it has launched a pair of Chromebooks and two ruggedized laptops for education.

At the same event Lenovo is offering to award a $25,000 / €18,280 classroom makeover for an educational institution, whose affiliate visits the FETC Exhibit hall and has his/her badge scanned by a Lenovo representative at three locations (FETC prize booths #164, #1564 and Lenovo’s own #621).

The winner will be announced Friday, January 31. Now let me tell you what’s to be included in the money. The winning educational institution will receive 30 Lenovo X131e notebooks powered by Intel Core i3 processor and bundled with Intel Education Software.

Furthermore, the winner will have access to Intel sponsored coaching and package of licenses and software created to innovate in the classroom. All laptops run Windows 8 out of the box and are equipped with webNetwork and Absolute Computrace (for enhanced security) licenses.
