The tablets might be different color version of the Miix 2 tablet

Back at CES 2014, Lenovo pulled the veil off new models from its Miix tablet line, including the Miix 2 10 and Miix 2 11. The products allowed users to take advantage of both tablet and laptop mode by virtue of a keyboard companion that snapped unto the deal via magnets, providing protection as well.

Even if there’s been just a few months since the new Miix 2 models came out, Lenovo is apparently not wasting any time. According to design firm red dot 21, the PC manufacturer is already working on the Miix 3 line of tablets.

Lenovo will be keeping the traditional notebook/tablet hybrid mode, which means the keyboard can be taken off, resulting in users being able to use the standalone Pad.

The machine is said to be consisting of two parts, pad and dock, with the pad being integrally molded with polycarbonate materials and processes.

From the pictures, we can notice Lenovo is going to take a fun colorful approach with the new Miix 3 line, by offering them with a vivid orange paint job.

The listing on the website doesn't say anything about specifications of display size, mentioning only the tablet “can take into account the needs of home office and entertainment.”

I suspect these new models, might turn out to be different color option for the Miix 2 slates, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see for more information to come out.
