Lenovo, one of the most popular brands in the business PC segment, will be updating its line of portable ThinkPad T-series with the introduction of three models supporting the latest mobile Core i3 processors from Intel. According to available specifications, the new systems will receive an “i” appendix to their names, letting users know about the processor that will be powering these machines. Aside from that, these seem to offer some improved specs which should result into a better overall computing experience.

The updated models include the T410i, T410si and the T510i, all of which will be featured with the newest Intel Core i3-330M processor. This works at 2.13GHz and can be coupled with 2GB or 3GB of DDR3 memory, although the system can support a maximum of 8GB of memory. Thanks to the architecture of the new Intel CPUs, users will be able to benefit from the graphics capabilities of the HD Graphics, built inside the processor.

Otherwise, the new laptops have been designed to deliver all the standard options, such as 2MP webcam or fingerprint sensor, letting users take advantage of a more secure laptop experience. In addition, the system comes with Windows XP operating system, pre-installed, a feature that is likely to be appreciated by business. Other than that, you'll be able to choose from 14.1-inch and 15.6-inch displays (the T410i, T410si and T510i, respectively), with options that include LED backlight.

Unfortunately, there are no words on the pricing details of the new models, as the company is yet to officially announce them. The new ThinkPads should, however, become available in about a month, according to Engadget, which means that they should be displayed at the upcoming CeBIT 2010 show in Hannover, Germany. Considering these new models, Lenovo might also plan to update its IdeaPad series, but that's yet to be confirmed.
