The handset is now available for purchase via China Mobile

Chinese handset maker Lenovo recently made headlines with its Motorola acquisition from Google, but the company will continue to be present in the telecom news thanks to its products.

The latest device announced by Lenovo is dully called A628T. This seems to be the smartphone's name, but GSMArena reports the device has been recently launch at China Mobile under this name.

Lenovo A628T is likely to be restricted to the Mainland, but in case the Chinese company decides to bring it to other countries we expect it to be available in Asian emerging markets, such as India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

There's no word on price tag yet and the only thing that's been reported on Lenovo A628T is the fact the is available for purchase through major carrier China Mobile.

However, judging by the phone's specs sheet, the A628T is a mid-range Android smartphone, so it can't be priced that high.

Apart from the affordable price, Lenovo A628T is meant to attract thanks to its vivid bright red color. In addition, the smartphone offers dual-SIM (TD-SCDMA / GSM) with dual standby support, which is another selling point of the A628T.

The smartphone ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and is likely to remain on this version until it gets discontinued.

The Lenovo A628T is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor, probably clocked at 1.3GHz, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

Users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot. On the back, the smartphone packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash, autofocus and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

It is also worth mentioning Lenovo A628T comes with a large 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 854 x 480 pixels resolution. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with A-GPS support are included as well.
