Lego Star Wars creators promise all the best from their new game

Games in the Lego series are always highly anticipated but, unfortunately, they don't always manage to rise up to the expectations (as it happened with the recently released Lego Indiana Jones). Warner Bros is trying to right the wrongs by launching a new exciting game this fall: Lego Batman. And if we are to judge by the factsheet released by the company during this year's E3, we're up for a real treat! Let's just hope that, this time, it won't be a miss like Indiana because, if you remember well, when it was in the "factsheet" stage, the game seemed to be very promising, too.

Lego Batman: The Videogame brings an original storyline which puts together both the controllable dynamic duo (Batman and Robin) and Gotham City's most notorious criminals (The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Two Face, Bane, Clayface and Poison Ivy) - all of them have recently escaped from the Arkham Asylum and are ready to wreak havoc in the city. Just knowing that, one could say it's pretty exciting!

But things look even better since, as I've said, an updated factsheet was released by Warner Bros. According to them, we will be able to bring justice to the city (by playing as each of the game's heroes) or create ultimate chaos by controlling any of the aforementioned villains. We'll be able to fight on land, sea and air and unlock along the way all sorts of helpful things, such as Batman's Demolition ability or the Magnetic and Dive suits.

The game promises to bring HD graphics on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 (it will be able to run in 720p or 1080p). Also, the Nintendo DS version will not only offer touchscreen interaction, but two player co-op, too. And, if all these are not enough, the top voice over cast (Warner Bros promises that Tom Kenny will have hilarious results) and the iconic musical score from the 1989 movie The Batman should make you eager to play it.
