Left 4 Dead 2 on the Xbox 360 has finally been patched by Valve, as the company fixed a lot of issues and restored the possibility of unlocking achievements in the first-person shooter.

Left 4 Dead 2 didn't have a particularly great life on the Xbox 360, as opposed to the PC, but players still loved the team-based zombie shooter on their home consoles.

Sadly, after the release of the Sacrifice DLC last year, things got pretty bad, as plenty of issues popped up, with the most important being that players couldn't unlock any new achievements in the game.

Now though, even if it's a bit late, Valve has deployed an update for the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead 2, bringing back the possibility of unlocking achievements, as well as fixing quite a lot of other issues.

"Foremost is the ability to recover achievement progress that was lost after The Sacrifice release. Recovered progress will be added to any new progress made since the release. In a few cases it may not be possible to recover the data for every achievement, but the majority of players should see their progress restored," revealed Valve on the Left 4 Dead 2 blog.

A few more issues were also fixed by the new update, which you can check out below.

• In Versus mode Tanks will spawn in stasis until a human player takes over. Tanks in stasis are invisible and invulnerable, and won't move or attack. • Tank speed is no longer reduced when on fire. • Allow players on the Infected team to manually spawn during finales. • Added a vote option to toggle All-Talk. • Special Infected that causes a Survivor to stumble into a "ledge hang" situation will receive 50 points. • Bullets that first pass through an infected character before striking a Survivor are now ignored as friendly fire. • In Versus mode car alarms will now trigger anytime a Special Infected pulls or stumbles a Survivor into an alarm car. • Survivor Bots no longer try to melee exploding barrels out of their way. • Fixed the Sacrifizzle achievement.

Left 4 Dead 2 is currently available on the PC and Mac, through Valve's Steam service, as well as on the Xbox 360.
