The Lebanese hacktivist group that calls itself Raise Your Voice, or RYV, breached and defaced a number of 10 websites that belong to the country’s government.

At press time, the affected sites were either restored or taken offline, but The Hacker News provided the message posted by the hackers on the targeted sites.

“We are RYV, short for Raise Your Voice, and we are simply a group of people who could not bare sitting in silence, watching all the crimes and injustice going on in Lebanon. We will not be silenced and brainwashed by your media. We will not stop until the Lebanese people mobilize, demand their rights, and earn them,” the hackers wrote.

The list of affected websites includes the one of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Labor, an organization called Future Youth, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Ministry of Energy and Water, and the Lebanese Presidency.

Many of these sites were also defaced on April 16 when the RYV hacker group introduced itself.
