We have been hearing rumors about Amazon’s upcoming next-gen Kindle Fire HD for a while now. This week, however, the guys over at BGR have managed to stumble upon some pictures they claim showcase the new tablet.

Even if BGR has obscured the details on the back of the tablet, we can still notice that the Kindle Fire HD 7 definitely sports a new look.

Instead of the smooth curves we have been accustomed to when using the original Kindle Fire HD, from now on we will have to deal with an angular design.

Another visible difference is that the stereo speakers have been moved on top. According to the rumor mill, the next-gen Kindle Fire HD is expected to come packing this list of features:

-7-inch 1080p LCD -Amazon's Kindle OS, built on Android 4.2.2 Quad-core -Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at "over 2GHz" 2GB RAM -Storage options of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB -Wi-Fi only and cellular models will be available.

Amazon will probably launch the next-gen Kindle Fire HD very soon, in the “coming weeks.” And it will not stop there. In November, it plans to unleash an 8.9-inch variant with a powerful 2560x1600 display.
