Mobile phone users out there who own a BlackBerry device from Research In Motion are certainly familiar with the leaked operating system flavors that emerge from time to time on the Internet, and now some more of these showed up. Among them, we can count a leaked OS 5.0.0.530 for the Tour 9630, as well as the leaked OS 5.0.0.509 which comes for both the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900.

The newly leaked platform versions for the three handsets were brought to light by the guys over at Bbleaks, for Tour 9630, and by BerryReview for the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900. Although a new operating system version usually means that there are enhancements to be enjoyed, most of you might know already that leaked OSes usually are not final builds, and that there are glitches that might not make them as appealing as an older, official release.

Unfortunately, there are no exact details on what the new leaked OSes for Tour 9630, Bold 9000 and Curve 8900 include. When it comes to the first device, it seems that the new OS version marks a big step forward when compared to the previously leaked OS versions, but it is still not the official release that some people might be waiting for. As for the older Bold 9000 and Curve 8900 BlackBerry smartphones, it still remains to be seen what the leaked OS includes.

We should remind you that these are not official update releases from RIM or wireless carriers, and one should take cautions before installing them, so as to make sure that all goes well in the end. Moreover, those who are not familiar with what installing a new OS flavor on the BlackBerry is all about should keep out of these leaked flavors, so that nothing unwanted happens with the device. Keep in mind that we do not encourage you to install unofficial OSes but, in case you are interested in learning more on them, you can check on this post on Bbleaks, or on this one on BerryReview.
