Nokia has been keeping busy and working on a new handset, the E51. The company has kept a low word on its new device, although a spy shot and some leaked specifications have managed to surface.

The new Eseries mobile phone runs S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and is also stuffed with some evolved features. There is still an aura of mystery surrounding the Nokia E51 handset, as there is little information on it and even the source of the leaked image of it is pretty vague.

This will be a GSM phone once it hits the market and will also bring several other evolved communication solutions. The HSDPA technology will allow data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, one of the most evolved performances available at this time. Moreover, it will also have EDGE and WiFi connectivity, as most evolved devices do.

Nokia E51 will also include the A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles for stereo audio over Bluetooth, for placing wireless calls. Moreover, it will also come equipped with the H.264 video codec and the second version of the S60 browser. Unfortunately, there seems to be no front camera for placing video calls, one surprising feature, when considering this handset's powerful 3G connection.

These features reveal the fact that we are talking about a high-end device. The fact that the phone works on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 should make it capable of supporting many new technologies when compared to its predecessors.

The handset looks slim and elegant, but in a powerful and practical way. One interesting feature about it is the "delete" special button, for those who are troubled by how difficult it is to get rid of unwanted emails and files.

There is no additional information on the Nokia N51 mobile phone, although a release date for it might have been of great interest for many people.
