Slider phone with a touchscreen

It's been a fairly long while since we last heard of the Samsung F310, or the B&O Serenata phone model. After the brief information back in May that it has been approved by FCC, we now have a clearer picture and more specifications to keep the interest alive and kicking.

Unfortunately, the picture for this Samsung Serenata phone is only a concept one, which shows that there is a long way to go until actually seeing it in stores. The design lines for this slider phone show it to be highly fashionable and elegant, with smooth shapes and metal accents.

The huge navigation button placed under the display screen leaves the impression of being quite easy to use and an appealing alternative to old fashioned buttons. Moreover, the display and keypad look nothing out of the ordinary, from what the image reveals. Still, the phone actually packs touchscreen performances, one feature seldom seen with slider phones. Moreover, it is capable of supporting a resolution of up to 240 x 240 pixel and 262k colors.

Along with the leaked image, the phone also comes with some new specifications. Unfortunately, they are fairly disappointing and, if Samsung does not have some more impressive ones up its sleeve, they will fail in making the Serenata phone a success.

Samsung F310 proves to be quite large and not as slender as other similar handsets. The device has 109.5 x 63 x 19.7 mm in size, which makes it too long, too wide and too thick, altogether. Most other handsets nowadays strive in reaching slim and compact sizes, but the Serenata phone is not the least ashamed by its bulky sizes.

Other specifications for this mobile phone reveal the fact that it is actually a music device, packed with an MP3 and MPEG4 player as well. Moreover, the handset will also come with an internal memory of 4 GB, more than enough for storing a large number of songs and personal data on it.
