Riot Games has been known to delve into some experimentation, in addition to offering the standard 5v5 clashes and pushing on the three-lane formula that most multiplayer online battle arena titles offer, and now they're doing it again.

Their free-to-play MOBA game, League of Legends, is the most popular such title in the world and also at the top of the highest-grossing F2P games list, second only to CrossFire, a Korean massively multiplayer online first-person shooter.

Riot has decided to implement another experimental game mode in League of Legends, One For All: Mirror Mode, a remix of the One For All game mode, that allowed everyone to play whoever they wanted, regardless of which champion had been already selected by their team-mates.

The developers have now spiced things up a bit, giving every player the same champion to play and, furthermore, the game mode is set on the infamous ARAM map The Howling Abyss, pitting the 5-man teams against each other in a single lane.

The official One For All: Mirror Mode announcement details the set-up of the new way to enjoy League of Legends, as well as the voting system that determines which champion will be chosen and the nice goodies that Riot is offering.

"For this iteration of One For All, champ select is determined by the combined nominations of both teams," the announcement informs.

"A vote tracker shows the nominated champions - if one champ achieves a strict majority, they're chosen. If not, we base the choice on a weighted random from all the nominated champs, so if four people vote for Amumu, three people pick Blitzcrank and the last three all pick different champs, there's a 40% chance everyone plays Amumu, a 30% chance everyone plays Blitz and a 10% chance for each of the remaining champs," Riot reveals.

After playing your first game of One For All: Mirror Mode, you'll get the One For All icon for keepsies. In addition to this, the dev have also added a unique feature that allows gamers to purchase a Battle Boost for their team, temporarily unlocking all the chosen champion's skins, both for themselves and for their allies, as well as a team-wide 100 IP boost.

One For All: Mirror Mode is available to play now and will be until June 8. All we can do is hope that no gamer will ever have to face the horror of playing an all-Teemo game.
