China is one of the world's largest smartphone markets, but many devices that go on sale in the Mainland never arrive in other parts of the world.

LeTV is one of the companies that are trying to bring customers products that would stand out. Their new Max phablet was announced last month along with LeTV S1 and LeTV Pro smartphones, but no details on pricing and availability were shared at that time.

The good news is LeTV Max is now available for pre-order for no less than 3,600 yuan outright, which is about $580 or €520.

Unfortunately, LeTV doesn't have a history of bringing its products to other countries, so there's a very slim chance for the Max to be available outside China in the future.

Still, there are ways that people from other countries can get LeTV Max if they really want, presuming they pay the custom fees and the phablet is fully compatible with their carriers' bands.

But let's see what you get for that amount of money, which is quite high considering this smartphone was launched in China by a native handset maker.

The battery is rated for up to 10 days of standby time

First of all, LeTV Max boasts a huge 6.33-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

In addition, the phablet is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which is complemented by 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB. MicroSD card slot for memory expansion is included as well.

On the back, LeTV's high-end smartphone is equipped with a 20.7-megapixel photo snapper with dual-LED flash, autofocus and video recording (Sony Exmor RS IMX230 sensor). In the front, there's a secondary 4-UltraPixel camera.

The handset also features fingerprint scanner, LeHi-Fi audio technology and full metal body. It's also worth mentioning the phablet will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with LeTV's proprietary LeUI on top.
