Despite her claims that she wasn’t looking to become a bona fide reality star, LeAnn Rimes is very determined to do just that. Her first foray into reality television, LeAnn & Eddie, premieres next month but she’s already thinking ahead of what developments in her life could possibly guarantee her a second season as well.

Just by looking at the first trailer for the show (embedded below) you know that one major theme tackled will be that of kids: not Eddie’s 2 boys with ex-wife Brandi Glanville (though they too will come up a lot) but the one LeAnn wants to give him.

One particular scene shows LeAnn seeing a specialist and telling her about her mother’s infertility problems and how, at 31 years of age, she’s come to think she may have inherited them.

If she managed to get pregnant now, she is certain people would come back to VH1 to watch another season of the show, an insider reveals for Radar Online. So, these days, she’s literally “begging” her husband to have a baby.

She must be heartbroken that he’s not even giving her the time of day on the topic.

“LeAnn’s been begging Eddie to let her begin IVF, but he doesn’t want more kids. It’s sad – not only is her body preventing LeAnn from getting pregnant, her husband isn’t allowing it, either,” an insider reveals.

The last time LeAnn approached him on this, he met her with “maybe we should just get another dog,” but that too failed to make her give up on her motherhood plans.

If this story sounds a bit too ridiculous to be true (after all, who wants to get pregnant JUST to boost interest in a reality show?), it’s probably because it is. Since LeAnn and Eddie got together, at a time when they were both married to other people, they have been tabloid fodder non-stop.

Things will probably pick up even more as the premiere date for the show nears, i.e. July 17, partly because LeAnn is the one who’s leaking some of these stories to the press, or so some believe. Even if you don’t like keeping up with celebrity gossip, you have probably understood by now that LeAnn isn’t exactly the most popular singer out there, quite the contrary.

This also means that, regardless if she gets pregnant or not, at least for her big reality television debut, she’d have a solid viewership guaranteed: because people will tune in, if only to have one more reason to hate or badmouth her.
