American running back Le'Veon Bell with the Pittsburgh Steelers has recently teamed up with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and has agreed to star in a new anti-fur campaign rolled out by the organization.

As part of his collaboration with the animal rights activists, Le'Veon Bell parted with his shirt and sat for a photo shoot. The result was the ad featured above, which is intended to encourage people to never wear clothes made from animal fur.

“I choose ink, not mink, because animals deserve better,” the Pittsburgh Steelers running back says, hoping to get people to realize that wearing fur it not only unnecessary given the many other options that they have at their disposal, but also immoral.

On its website, PETA says that workers employed by farms that provide for the fur industry are guilty of abusing animals in ways that most people would not even bear to hear about, let alone witness.

Thus, the organization maintains that animals at such farms are electrocuted, beaten, strangled and even skinned alive. This is because, due to he fact that they are raised solely for their fur, they are seen as commodities.

Together with Le'Veon Bell, PETA is asking that people help put an end to this cruel industry by pledging to never buy and/or wear clothes made from animal fur.
