Popular device manufacturer Lava has launched the e new tablet on the Indian market that never seems to get enough of dual-core budget slates.

As FoneArena reports, the IvoryS comes with a 7-inch display and offers the standard wallet-friendly resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The device draws power from a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor fitted with 416 MHz Mali 400 GPU and backed up by 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB of memory).

Indian manufacturers launching tablets today appear to be still using Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and the IvoryS is no different. Furthermore, the slate has two cameras (3.2MP with LED flash on the back and 0.3MP VGA up in front), 3G HSPA+ (via SIM card slots), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS / A-GPS.

Lava has bundled the tablet with a pretty average 2800 mAh battery, but customers will still be getting a few hours of action with the IvoryS.

The slate is available in both grey and white for the price of Rs. 8,499 / $140 / €101.

MediaTek and Lava have been long time partners and the chip maker believes the IvoryS is the best Lava budget-friendly tablet to date, offering “advanced features” and voice-calling capabilities.
