Nokia announced that Nokia Search, the application which enables mobile phone users to search and find almost anything, is new and improved and is available as of yesterday in 15 countries across Latin America. Nokia Search has increased its users by 22 percent every month in the last years and is currently available in 38 countries around the world.

Nokia Search includes now three new local search providers from Latin America, enabling people to access and search local directory content. The new 15 Nokia Search countries are: Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Dominican Republic.

"We're on a mission to bring everyone the ultimate search capabilities, whether locally or on the web," says Jussi-Pekka Partanen, head of Nokia Search, Multimedia, Nokia. "With the additions of our new local search providers and the new seamlessly integrated features of Nokia Search on even more devices, we're fast on the road to that goal."

Nokia N81, Nokia N81 8GB and Nokia N95 8GB offer Nokia Search accessibility directly from the main display, so you can easily search and find anything you want. Also, "My Content" search even allows you to locate content stored in the phone's memory.

On select Nokia phones, Nokia Search is integrated with Nokia Maps, so when you find a location and decide to go there, Nokia Maps will easily guide you towards it just by clicking the "show on map" icon.

Nokia Search is now supported on a wider range of handsets and, besides the already supported phones, it comes pre-installed on Nokia 6500 Classic, Nokia 6500 Slide, Nokia 7900 Prism, Nokia 5310 XpressMusic and Nokia 5610 XpressMusic, with more devices to be added soon.

Nokia Search is freely available via download, for compatible phones, on the Nokia website.
