The Last Remnant is one of the most important games that publisher Square Enix released in 2008. The company intended to attract a more Western audience with the role playing title, which is why it launched it at the same time in Japan, North America and Europe on November 20. At the moment, all those interested in it can get The Last Remnant for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

The Japanese magazine Famitsu has just revealed a few fresh details related to the PC version of the game set to be released in Japan on April 9. The game is said to cost 8,190 Yen, which is about 90 dollars, and there are no dates confirmed for the release in North America or in Europe.

There are also quite a few improvements that Square Enix says it aims to implement in the PC version of the game. First of all, the graphics, which had some significant glitches in the console version of the title, are set to be fixed and the enhanced graphics will be scalable to the power of the gaming rig running The Last Remnant.

As for the gameplay, Square Enix says that it will introduce an option related to the speeding up of the rather long battle animations, while the leader units will no longer be restricted in any way, which means that players will be able to take as many of them in their party (or “union,” as the game calls it) as they wish. The publisher also says that the PC version will have voice tracks in both English and in Japanese, while the equipment will be able to be previewed in the menus.

Square Enix says that it wants to launch a PC benchmark created specifically for the game on January 30 so that players can see whether they can run the game, while a demo version is also planned closer to the release date, probably sometime in March.
