Former “Saved by the Bell” star tied the knot in Vegas

Lark Voorhies, best known as Lisa Turtle on the iconic comedy series “Saved by the Bell,” got married in secret, in a Las Vegas quickie to music engineer Jimmy Green, it has emerged. The photo attached to this article was snapped on the joyous and apparently very casual occasion.

The wedding took place on April 30, but word of it only got out some hours ago. Shortly after news broke, TMZ found out that Green is actually a wanted man with the Arizona Police.

A surprise wedding, lots of legal trouble

First things first: Lark and Jimmy are now legally married. People Magazine says that the two met “at a networking event in the Los Angeles area” and had such amazing chemistry on the spot that they started dating immediately.

This happened less than a year ago, but time is not of the essence where true love is concerned.

In a statement to the celebrity publication, issued as the photo you can see attached to this piece made its way online, the 41-year-old actress says she’s the happiest she’s ever been, having found her better half in Green.

“We have known it was meant to be for a while now and are so happy we found each other,” she says. “I look forward to all the wonderful moments and memories we will create together. Thank you so much for all the well wishes and we appreciate them indeed!”

Lark’s mother, who revealed to the press in 2012 that her daughter was suffering from severe bipolar disorder as a means to explain her recent odd behavior, knew about the ceremony but was not there, the same media outlet says.

Now for the bad part: apparently, Green is wanted for making criminal threats and disorderly conduct, from an incident in 2012 in which he threatened to kill a store owner in Tucson, Arizona, TMZ reports.

Green returned a cell phone he had bought at the store, but the owner would not refund him, for whatever reason. According to the police records, Green lost his temper, smashed the phone against the wall and told the owner that he was going “to break the store and kill” him.

He never showed up in court for his hearings, hence the arrest warrant in his name.

Voorhies is yet to address her husband’s legal issues, or for that matter, say if she had any idea about them at the time they were married.

Lark’s mental issues, as revealed by her mother

In 2012, Lark sat down for an interview with Yahoo! and acted so out of it that many fans assumed she was either drunk or high on drugs at the taping. Making matters even worse, she looked almost unrecognizable, with reports saying she was losing touch with reality and turning to plastic surgery to cope with her fading fame.

In response to these troubling reports, Lark’s mother revealed that her daughter was bipolar, which would account for her strange behavior because she was refusing treatment. Apparently, she was convinced that no doctor could cure whatever it was that she had.

Voorhies denied her mother’s claims and said that she was an attention-hungry woman trying to make money off her daughter’s back. She made it clear they were not on speaking terms, and insisted that she was perfectly healthy in body and mind.
