14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix announce that they are planning to launch a Gold Edition of the upcoming Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and that gamers will also have access to a Season Pass for the title.
The limited edition for the game will include a special figurine depicting main character Lara Croft, an art book which features exclusive new concept art, a folding map depicting the Overworld, and the Season Pass for extra downlodable content packs.
Gamers who want access to it can pre-order at a range of retailers.
Other pre-order bonuses are also available:
- those who get Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris on Steam and other digital outlets can access the Hitman pack, which allows gamers to play with Hitman-themed skins and to use the classic pistols associated with the character and with the Agent ring, designed to increase weapon damage and increase the power of bombs;
- on Amazon, the game comes complete with the Deus Ex pack, with skins based on the classic title and an Adam Jensen-themed rifle as well as the Augment ring, which makes all treasure chests in the game 10 percent cheaper;
- the Lara Croft Legend Pack will be offered for purchases via GameStop and gives players a classic set of skins and a golden pistol to use in the title, as well as the Legend Ring, with its ability to regenerate health and increase the power of the character's torch.
The official Season Pass for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will give players access to the icy Death and the Twisted Gears DLC for the title but does not give anyone a chance to try out the exclusive pre-order content.
The new dungeon raiding experience will allow players to experience the aftermath of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, with a new story linked to the massive desert of Egypt.
The protagonist needs to join forces with a rival treasure hunter named Carter Bell as well with the gods Isis and Horus in order to stop the world domination plans of Seth.
The game will feature exploration, combat, puzzles that need to be solved and impressive traps that Lara Croft has to avoid or disarm.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will be launched on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PC and the PlayStation 4 from Sony on December 9 of this year.
