Artsy, gorgeous video gets fans’ appraisal online almost instantly

Lana Del Rey is slowly establishing herself as one of those artists who love (love!) making short films instead of traditional music videos. Her latest, for “National Anthem,” is no exception.

The video represents Lana's own take on an episode of American history that is still painful to think of to this day: JFK's death.

She is Jackie Kennedy Onassis while a gangsta rapper-type plays President Kennedy. Even his assassination is included, though in a very delicate manner, if you will, in the sense that it happens outside the reach of the camera.

Shot entirely in warm, blurry tones, the video is as gorgeous as it's bound to lead to heated debates online. Her fans, though, love it.

Check it out above and let us know if you do too.
