Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are said to be having serious marital issues because of his raging drug use: he’s been addicted to crack cocaine for the past couple of years. His father Joe is now speaking out on the rumors, blaming the entire Kardashian family for his son’s troubles.

In an interview with Radar Online from his Marina Del Rey, California home, Joe Odom says getting married to Khloe in 2009 was the worst thing that could have happened to his son, both professionally and personally.

Joe knows a thing or two about addiction, since he too used drugs for years, but he’s been sober for over a decade. Unfortunately, his relationship with Lamar suffered a great deal because of it, so perhaps he’s not the most informed insider to speak on this particular topic.

He does it either way.

“Someone’s got to speak out, I’ve got to do something about this. It’s simple. They brought him down. He would be better off without them. Let him go and get his life together. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together,” Joe says.

Khloe might seem like the most down to earth and relatable Kardashian but, he explains, behind closed doors, she’s just as bad as her mother: she’s controlling, she’s superficial, indifferent, and mean.

However, Joe stresses, matriarch Kris Jenner is the worst of the lot.

“The mother has been talking a lot of trash about my son, saying he’s on drugs and stuff like that. She’s got something against my son, something against my family. Kris Jenner is very negative. She’s an evil [expletive]. She doesn’t care about Lamar, she just cares about their image and money,” he says.

He even blames her for giving Lamar drugs, though, just seconds before, he made it sound as if the addiction rumors weren’t true.

“I blame Kris in particular, she’s been through a lot of stuff herself. She’s no Cinderella. I can’t really say if the Kardashians are doing drugs, but my son would never use hard drugs. I can’t pinpoint right now who’s giving it him, but I’m going to investigate. The Kardashians haven’t been a good influence on my son,” Joe says.

He adds, “They don’t give a [expletive] about my son. It’s more about the damage they do to the Kardashian brand. They brought him down. He’d be better off without them. Let him go, get his life together.”

Besides the 2009 marriage to Khloe, another thing Joe considers responsible for Lamar’s ruin is the Kardashians’ reality shows on which they both appeared.

The pressure was too much for Lamar, he believes, and in the end, it made him lose focus of what was really important: basketball.

The Kardashians are yet to respond to any of the allegations made by Joe Odom in the interview.
