For the past couple of weeks, Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian have been dealing with a media storm around allegations that their marriage is in trouble because of his raging addiction to crack cocaine. If that’s really the case, Lamar isn’t letting it show.

Though he’s been seen in public since the first drug addiction reports emerged, the basketball player never addressed them, no matter how hard the paparazzi tried to get him to talk to them.

That changed last night, as he and his friends were leaving the Teru Sushi in Studio City, LA, when he actually got very chatty with the photographers and, at the same time, shot down drug rumors.

TMZ has the video of the exchange.

The paparazzo asks Lamar if there’s any truth to all that drug talk, to which he replies that no, he doesn’t have a problem and, consequently, no, he doesn’t need any help.

He also says he’s coming back to the NFL at the start of the season and expresses his willingness to play for “anyone that’s a fan.”

Towards the end of the brief chat in the street, right before the car he’s in speeds off, Lamar denies rumors of marriage problems, laughing when the paparazzo asks him if he’s spoken to Khloe recently.

“That’s my wife,” he says – as in, “we’re married, of course I speak to her! Every day, actually.”

He’s wearing his wedding band.

On her Twitter, Khloe Kardashian had only this to say about the frenzy caused in the media by the addiction report: “Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk [expletive] about my family! [Expletive] you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this [expletive]!”

She’s been keeping mum on the topic ever since but, as it turns out, it’s Lamar who’s doing all the talking now.
