Oh my God! I like environmentally friendly vehicles, but they tend to feature dull designs and not so appealing patterns. However, Aptera car looks great! And what's most important is that - unlike most electric concept cars - this one is actually going to see the production process in the near future. In fact, the company's representatives said that any person willing to pay 500 bucks to reserve one of these babies, stands high chances of owning one within a year.

Regarding the car's cool features, it sports 2.5 seats, offering enough space for both passengers an their luggage. In addition, it is said to hit 60 mp in about 10 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 95 mph. As for its design, it's pretty interesting, if you ask me.

Besides the fact it has almost everything you could ask from a car, it also sports the features you get to see in a normal car, such as GPS navigation, CD/MP3/DVD player with XM radio system, and more.

This baby even features a RFID key fob to start the car, as well as a 100% solar assisted climate control, which is said to keep the car perfectly comfortable using exclusively the energy produced by the solar panels that were carefully installed on the roof.

According to the fellows from Ohgizmo, when it comes to the engine, the car offers two options, such as: the all electric feature, meaning the car is exclusively powered with batteries and will run with approximately 120 miles. It only requires a 110 volt outlet and a complete recharge, which is possible in a few hours. The cost of this particular option can reach up to 26.900 bucks.

The other option involves the plug-in series hybrid of the Aptera. The car gets powered by an electric drive train, but it also assisted by a fuel efficient gasoline powered generator. And this stretches the range a lot, which means you'll basically achieve over 300 miles per gallon.

The costs are also make your wallet a little lighter, as this option can cost up to 29.900 bucks. Thanks OhGizmo for the extra info! But, hey, if you really want to buy one of these ladybug-like electric vehicles, be sure to check out the company's site. All in all, Aptera looks so slippery and organic it could pass for a living being. Don't you think so? Check out the car's pretty profile:
