14 DAY TRIAL // Over the weekend, Lady Gaga stepped out in an incredibly tall hat shaped like a pair of horns, or, at best, like two twisted tree roots or branches. Last night, the singer capped off that appearance by going out for dinner in a PVC see-through outfit and a bedazzled lobster hat and truly managing to get all eyes on her, as the Faded Youth Blog can confirm.
Though some say Gaga has long ceased to amaze with her odd fashion choices, it would seem her two most recent appearances come to contradict that. The singer is not only a daredevil when it comes to odd combinations (with “odd” being used mildly here for lack of a better term), but also a shameless exhibitionist, which allows her to don outfits of the kind she wore for dinner in London the other night. As pictures online will show, she had only a couple of home-made pasties and some folds to hide her modesty.
“Lady GaGa has taken her penchant for outlandish fashion to the next level by stepping out in a silver lobster headpiece and wore a chicken claw around her wrist! The Poker Face singer arrived for dinner on a night off from her tour at Mr. Chow’s in London last night to host a private celebration party for her tour team after performing the second of two dates at the O2 Arena. Gaga matched the eye-catching headpiece which towered two feet above her head with a clear latex costume and sky-high drag queen platforms,” the aforementioned e-zine says.
“Some fashion experts suggest Gaga’s latest fashion stunt a tribute to late designer Alexander McQueen. One of his last collections was called ‘Horn of Plenty’ where models walked the catwalk with their hair sculpted into horns, in a show dedicated to McQueen’s mother Joyce. She died days before he took his own life earlier this month,” FYB goes on to add, offering a possible explanation for Gaga’s choice of an outfit and headpiece.
Then again, this is not the first time that the hitmaker wears this particular outfit: she’s even included one resembling it into her stage outfits for the “Monster Ball” tour. The other night’s outing was, though, a first in terms of wearing something that looked to have been alive once (rhinestones aside) as a headpiece – and a chicken claw for a bracelet.
