It's a new week, so a new package filled to the brim with songs is set to arrive for those who have not given up their Rock Band habit. This week, gamers will be able to download and play tracks from pop sensation Lady Gaga, Mute Math and the Subways. The fresh pack also contains a surprise for fans of the South Park television series as Eric Cartman himself makes his first appearance in a music simulation videogame.

The new tracks will be arriving later today on the Xbox 360 home gaming console and on the Nintendo Wii, with those enjoying Rock Band on the PlayStation 3 having to wait until March 18 to get the same songs. All the tracks offered are master recordings.

The full track list for the new Rock Band pack will be made up of: “Bad Romance,” “Just Dance,” “Monster” and “Poker Face” from Lady Gaga; the Cartman version of “Poker Face,” which was featured on the hit animation show South Park; 3 Doors Down playing “It’s Not My Time,” “Oh Yeah” and “Rock & Roll Queen” from The Subways.

As always, it’s cheaper to pick up the entire track pack, which is officially called Lady Gaga Pack 01 for 560 Microsoft Points, than each track for 160. On the Nintendo Wii, each song costs the player 200 Wii Points. Harmonix and MTV Games are saying that they plan to keep up the weekly new songs schedule for the rest of 2010.

Lady Gaga is one of the inescapable forces of the modern musical industry, with Grammy Awards and diamond level selling albums to her name. The singer has shocked through her eclectic musical style and through her fashion sense but there's an undeniable pop quality to her songs, which Rock Band players will now be able to enjoy.
