Lady Gaga is taking her performances to outer space. The famous singer is preparing a groundbreaking performance for 2015, when she will be singing “out of this world,” quite literally so.

Gaga will release a new single during the high-tech music festival Zero G Colony in New Mexico and will become the first artist to sing in outer space.

The singer will have to prepare for the performance with at least one month of vocal training in order to get ready for the absence of earthly conditions. Gaga will perform one song at the crack of dawn, while traveling in a Virgin Galactic ship.

Zero G Colony is a 3-day hi-tech festival combining the best of both worlds: top entertainment and technology. The festival will take place at Spaceport America in New Mexico, with Gaga's performance scheduled for the third day.

Just in case things don't as planned, the singer is reportedly planning on taking out a massive life insurance policy, according to Us Weekly. The event will be “like nothing the world has seen before,” a source tells the magazine.

On her Twitter page, Gaga has already started promoting #GagaInSpace2015. “Lady Gaga's honored to be producing the event, 2 years in the making. On 11.11 ART MUSIC FASHION + TECHNOLOGY explode into flight,” reads a tweet.

Gaga isn't the only one planning on venturing into cosmos, because Justin Bieber is also talking about an outer space music video while boarding a Virgin Galactic vessel with Sir Richard Branson. Famous artists like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Ashton Kutcher and Katy Perry also signed up for the $250,000 (€185,000) space mission.

The question on everyone's lips right now is “What will Lady Gaga be wearing during the performance?” Some may say that whatever outfit she chooses, it will be out of this world.
