Singer puts on devilish performance in giant bathroom

Lady Gaga, arguably one of the most eccentric performers of the moment, did not fail to raise to the hype with last night’s performance on the British singing competition the X Factor. Initially asking for live lambs and butterflies to accompany her on stage, the singer had to make due with a giant bathroom, including bathtub and toilet, AceShowbiz informs.

Gaga performed “Bad Romance,” one of the singles off the new album, “The Fame Monster,” and made it so that her performance partly stuck to the idea in the official video, with her dancers dressed as zombies and even the bathroom sequence. At one point, the singer even got up on the toilet to play the piano, much to the delight of the audience who seemed unable to stop cheering for her and applauding.

“Lady Gaga donned a metallic outfit matched with a pair of devil horns when singing on U.K. talent show The X Factor Sunday, December 6. Performing ‘Bad Romance,’ she did not only appear with those outrageous costumes but also had bizarre set which featured a giant bath and shower and included a troupe of dancers in zombie-style white outfits. The dance queen also took time to give advice for the show’s contestants saying, ‘Be yourself!’ She then added, ‘Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams’,” AceShowbiz says of the performance.

Reports in the British media say that, if the final performance seemed a bit out there, what Gaga had initially in mind was even more outrageous. Her list of demands included live lambs and butterflies, requests that were turned down for safety reasons. When producers heard that she wanted a giant bathroom (which she later joked she had taken from judge Simon Cowell), they allegedly warned her to keep her dance routine within limits and think of the audiences at home.

In particular, Lady Gaga was told not to make the entire performance about the toilet, a condition she stuck to. Below is Lady Gaga doing “Bad Romance” on the most recent episode of X Factor. Enjoy.
