Kodak really does seem to be going downhill continuously these days, having even lost most of its slide film customers.

After filing for bankruptcy and backing out of the camera market, among other things, the company is now discontinuing its color reversal film business.

Color reversal film, commonly called "slide film," is used only in projectors and professional print work.

Most recently, lo-fi photographers have begun to use it for cross-processing as well.

Nevertheless, in the end, Kodak just couldn't find a reason to keep it going.

As it is, supply of such films (EKTACHROME E100G Film, EKTACHROME E100VS Film and ELITE Chrome Extra Color 100 Film) will continue to be available for just six to nine months, depending on demand.

Color Negative Films and Black and White Films will continue being part of the firm's portfolio.
