LaCie has made many small gadgets over the years, especially small storage devices, many of which have been intended for owners of Apple systems.

The RuggedKey flash drive is, indeed, meant for Apple customers, given that it is listed on the Apple store, but it isn't incompatible with other sorts of PCs.

Equipped with the USB 3.0 interface, it can transfer 5 GB files or 3,000 photos in less than a minute.

That means peak speeds of up to 150 MB/s, provided the computer HDD/SSD can handle it.

What's more, in addition to performance, the RuggedKey boasts 256-bit AES encryption and a physical frame that can withstand 100m drops, extreme temperatures, dust and water submersion.

Finally, there are two storage capacity options: 16 GB and 32 GB. The prices are of £34.95 ($54 / 43.73 Euro) and £34.95 / $80 / 65.95 Euro, respectively.
