One of the mobile phones that LG Electronics is expected to bring to the market in the next several months is the LG Optimus Vu, a handset already teased on an official page on the vendor’s website.

The smartphone will land on shelves with Google’s Android operating system on board, and will feature a series of unique specifications.

For example, it will arrive with a large 5-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 4:3 aspect ratio, rather unique to the mobile space.

When compared to another large Android smartphone out there, such as the Samsung Galaxy note, the Optimus Vu stands up. The photo above, coming  from helloadam100.blog.me proves that.

The 4:3 ratio that Optimus Vu was packed with make it wider than the 5.3-inch Note, which sports a 16:10 aspect ratio.

With the new device, LG will try to gain some more ground on the smartphone market, after lagging behind companies like Nokia, Samsung, and Apple for the past several years.

Optimus Vu is rumored to pack all of the necessary capabilities to become a highly successful device.

Rumor has it that it will land on shelves with a dual-core Qualcomm WPQ8060 application processor clocked in at 1.5GHz and complemented by 1GB of RAM.

Moreover, the new device is expected to sport 8GB of ROM and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, while being able to deliver a 1024x768 pixels resolution.

For the time being, the fact that this mobile phone will make an official appearance on the market in the near future is the only thing that has been confirmed on it.

The hardware specifications mentioned above are only rumored at the moment, and might prove to be nothing more than speculation when the time comes.
