If you had any doubts that LG might be en route to bring to the market its own handset to be included in the popular Nexus lineup, you can almost put them to rest.

New photos with said device are now available for your viewing pleasure, complemented by confirmation on some of the already rumored specifications of the new device.

Available courtesy of Belarus retailer Onliner.by, the new images with the mobile phone are of a better quality, thus providing us with the possibility to observe more details on the as yet unannounced smartphone.

Onliner.by had the chance to play only with a prototype of this device, one that was powered by the newly released Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, but chances are that the final handset flavor will land on the market with the previously rumored Android 4.2 platform.

However, the hardware specs of the phone, along with its outer design, are less likely to change until an official announcement is made.

Thus, those who go for this handset will enjoy a large 4.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1280 x 768-pixel resolution, as well as the 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU that is currently powering LG’s Optimus G.

2GB of RAM will also be included in this device, so that it can deliver great performance levels, though it seems that there might be only 8GB of internal memory available on it, with no microSD memory card slot to expand it.

On the back, the phone will sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper with full HD video recording capabilities, just as previously rumored.

Onliner.by shared only so much information on the prototype for the time being, but it did promise a more detailed overview of the smartphone in the not too distant future.

Clearly, the handset is real and coming soon, otherwise Google and LG wouldn’t have sent out units to people to take them for a spin.
