P535 is a lightweight, slim machine, uses an Intel Core CPU

After looking at the Super Ultrabooks, an All-in-One 3D PC and even a Glasses-Free 3D Laptop now we finally get to the P535 notebook.

In part, the P535 is similar to the A540: they are both 15.6-inch notebooks, they both have 3D support and neither settles for the integrated Intel HD graphics.

Granted, buyers of the P535 can choose not to get a discrete GPU if they really want so, but anyone with enough money to buy a 3D laptop can probably afford the graphics as well.

That said, the P535 is not quite at the same level as its sibling because it does not have the ability to create 3D that doesn't need special glasses.

It still features the Cinema 3D technology, though.

Prospective customers will get to choose between Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs, as well as NVIDIA's GeForce GT 610M and 630M graphics.

The HD screen is a bit less extraordinary than the options on the A540 (Full HD) but even a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels should be more than enough for a 15.6-inch panel.

Other relevant specifications are hard drives of 750 GB or 1 TB, 8 GB of RAM, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, SRS audio, DVD Super-Multi, a 7-in-1 card reader, etc.

All the features are packed inside a frame which, LG claims, is 24% slimmer and 27% lighter than other 15-inch 3D notebooks.

There is no word on the price, unfortunately, and there probably won't be until CES or the actual release.

LG was deliberately vague, saying that the products it will have on display at the Consumer Electronics Show would arrive in the first quarter of 2012 (January-March).

Finally, the hardware maker says the P535 is “as powerful as it is stylish” but we'll have to wait until people can get close to it at the show to confirm or deny that.
