LG Xenon has been introduced in the United States not too long ago, through the wireless carrier AT&T, and is now available in Canada as well, via Rogers Wireless. The touch screen quick-messaging phone can be acquired from the carrier for $80 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement.

The device comes with a 2.8-inch touch screen display that boasts a 240 x 400-pixel resolution, while also including a sliding QWERTY keypad. In addition, Rogers also markets the handset as including a so-called Hello Interface, which can offer users the possibility to customize the home screen of the phone, as well as contacts and applications.

Other specifications of the LG Xenon include a Quad band GSM/EDGE and a dual-band HSPA connectivity, GPS capabilities, Stereo Bluetooth, a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper with video-recording capabilities, an MP3 player and a MicroSDHC memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space. The handset can be already seen on the company's website.

In related news, we learn that the LG Renoir KC910E, a Chinese version of the South Korean maker's Renoir KC910 mobile phone, has surfaced on the company's official site and is expected to launch in the near future in the country. The new version of the phone does not include 3G capabilities, yet it comes with tri-band GSM connectivity (900/1800/1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE.

At the same time, the LG Renoir KC910E sports a 3-inch touch screen display that offers a 240 x 400-pixel resolution, an 8-megapixel photo snapper with xenon flash, Wi-Fi capabilities, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, basically including the same features as the original Renoir. The handset is expected to become available in China with a price tag of $470 (3,200 CNY).
