After Japan and Europe, the phone hits North America

LG Wine first appeared on the stage about six months ago, when it was released on the South Korean market. Afterwards, in July, to be more precise, the phone was officially launched in Europe and Japan as well.

Now, the device is traveling across the ocean to Canada, where it will be made available through the mobile carrier Bell Canada.

So far, this handset has enjoyed a fair share of international fame, despite the fact that it was not designed as a high-end one. It may look really nice but, in all fairness, it was meant as a low to mid-range device.

The latest on this LG phone is that, in coordination with Fashion Week (October 25), Bell Mobility will launch the LG Wine… and a creative contest along with it. The competition will give you the chance to win a wine fridge. Yes, you read that right, a wine fridge. It comes in useful. Undoubtedly.

It seems that users looking to get their hands on the LG Wine won't have to pay too much for it - 78US dollars (about 80 Canadian dollars), if they get the phone with a 3-year contract. If they want the Wine without a contract, the price will be about 260 US dollars (approximately 280 Canadian dollars). Either way, this makes the phone really affordable. Consequently, for users that want a device that looks good and has all the basic functions, this handheld should do the trick.

So, if you're a Bell customer, or want to become one, or you're just an LG fan, this is your chance to get a more than decent phone that looks good, and also to win a wine fridge. LG Wine comes in two color versions, black and gold.
