LG Voyager just received a release date and a pretty close one, too. The handset will be in stores sometime by the end of the month for all those who wait for a device that can make up for all of the iPhone's drawbacks.

LG Voyager is a highly promising device that features a large, appealing touchscreen and a full QWERTY keypad that will be excellent especially for the old fashioned ones who find it difficult to get used with virtual buttons. That's what the iPhone lacked and should come as an advantage that makes text editing much easier and more rapid.

There are two displays, meant to make this handset extremely easy to handle. Their size is of 2.8 inch and they also have touchscreen capabilities. Both prove to be large enough for handling all functions at the same high quality. The 400 x 240 pixels resolution is just the thing needed for excellent Internet browsing and watching videos at a high quality.

The phone also includes a HTML browser which should bring the best of Internet in a mobile form. LG Voyager is also capable of bringing mobile TV to its user at great quality, through the operator's services. Moreover, it will also bring the VZ Navigator, for reliable positioning.

Other specifications also include USB connectivity that will show the mobile phone as a Mass Storage device to the PC, when connected. The device will also include a microSD slot which supports cards of up to 8GB. Moreover, there will also be a 3G EVDO data connection included and an average 2 megapixel camera.

The LG Voyager will be available to PreOrder from Verizon Wireless starting with November 8th. A launch date for this mobile phone is set for the 21st of the same month for the price of USD300 after a USD50 rebate with a 2-year contract.
