Sprint has just announced that LG Viper 4G LTE will be available for pre-order starting April 12 for only $99.99 with a new two-year agreement. The smartphone will start shipping later this month.

LG Viper is Sprint's first 4G LTE device with eco-friendly features and comes with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. The smartphone will hit shelves at Best Buy, RadioShack and at all Sprint sales channels.

In addition, LG Viper 4G LTE will provide owners with access to more than 450,000 additional apps in Google Play, as well as the possibility to select one of the many mobile ID packs available from Sprint.

With Sprint ID packs users will receive personalized ringers, wallpapers and widgets. There's more to it, as LG Viper 4G LTE owners will receive 50GB of free cloud storage and sharing from LG by simply downloading Box app for Android.

Keep in mind that Box's 50 GB cloud storage offer is exclusive to LG devices and is only available until July 22.

Hardware-wise, the LG Viper is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and packs 1 GB of RAM, and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 4GB memory card included).

Furthermore, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, as well as a secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls. Mobile hotspot capabilities and Near Field Communication (NFC) support are included as well.

LG Viper 4G LTE comes in a sleek, ultra-thin form factor and boasts a hyper-vibrant 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It is also worth mentioning the screen features Corning Gorilla Glass coating for extra display resistance while on the move.

LG Viper pairs perfectly with our unlimited data plans to bring customers the benefit of new technology, including our upcoming 4G LTE capabilities at a great price,” said David Owens, vice president, product development, Sprint.
